Salmon Run 18 Hole Championship Golf Course

Salmon Run is an 18 hole championship golf course located in Brookings. It has a reputation as one of the most beautiful and challenging courses in Oregon. No two holes are alike and many offer spectacular views from elevated tees and greens. It's location 3.5 miles inland usually yields sunny conditions when the coast is foggy!

Port of Brookings Harbor

The Port District of Brookings Harbor covers an area of 400 square miles reaching from the mouth of the Chetco River south to the Oregon-California border, north to the drainage of the Pistol River, and east to the Curry-Josephine County line. The Port District is governed by a five-member commission elected at-large from the district which has a population of approximately 16,000 people.

Harris Beach

The park boasts the largest island off the Oregon coast. Bird Island (also called Goat Island) is a National Wildlife Sanctuary and breeding site for such rare birds as the tufted puffin. The park offers sandy beaches interspersed with eroded sea stacks. The park's beauty changes with the seasons. Many people are drawn to watch the powerful and dramatic surf.

Chetco River

The beautiful and scenic view of the Chetco River offers a wide diversity of recreational activities. In the winter times, Salmon & Steelhead fishing and whitewater kayaking are the most uses in this season. The summer season there is Fishing, four-wheel driving, swimming, boating, camping, sightseeing, hiking are major activities during this season. All year around there is opportunity to hike, sightsee, guided fishing, fishing off the river bank and just walking the river.

Sunsets & Sea Creatures

Oregon Coast tidepools are so much fun to explore. It is a zoo without fences and nothing between you and the sea creatures. Tidepools are so beautiful and amazing with the different life within them and the gorgeous vibrant colors. The oregon Coast Sunsets are truley amazing and beautiful.

Chetco River Fishing

The Chetco River is a National Wild and Scenic River. Its headwaters are high in the Kalmiopsis Wilderness. It has good access on National Forest lands between the South Fork Chetco River confluence and Ice Box Bridge for bank angling and for unimproved boat launches on gravel bars. Fishing species include Fall Chinook salmon, winter steelhead, sea-run and resident cutthroat trout with healthy runs of winter steelhead exceeding 20 pounds and fall Chinook salmon exceeding 50 pounds. Licensed fishing guides are available to float this section on the Rogue River. Side-drifting for winter steelhead and back-bouncing for Chinook salmon are preferred methods of fishing this stream, although other tactics will catch fish. Angling season for steelhead & Chinook salmon is Jan 1 - March 31, May 27 - Dec 31 and trout is May 27 - Oct 31.

Rogue River Jet Boat Tours in Gold Beach

Gold Beach is synonymous with jet boats and is the gateway to the wild & scenic portion of the Rogue River. Departing from Gold Beach is the only way to get jet boat access to this pristine "Wild Section." The trips are considered a must-do during any Gold Beach visit — at least in the months between May and October.
